ACEI Calculator Terms & Conditions
1. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF USE
- Accessing or using the ACEI website, including any GPA calculation tools, constitutes your acceptance of these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not accept these terms, you are not authorized to use the website or its services.
- The ACEI website and GPA Calculator are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13, and such use is expressly prohibited.
2. NO WARRANTY / ACCURACY DISCLAIMER
- All content, tools, and materials made available through the ACEI website, including the GPA Calculator, are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without any warranties, express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy.
- ACEI makes no representations or assurances regarding the correctness, completeness, or reliability of any information, grading scales, calculations, or GPA results produced by the GPA Calculator or displayed on the website.
3. REFUND POLICY
All fees paid for GPA reports, GPA calculator usage and access are final and non-refundable once an order has been submitted. No refunds will be issued after a purchase is completed, regardless of whether the service is partially or fully used.
By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you are paying for immediate access to digital services and/or reports and expressly waive any right to a refund.
4. SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL
Pro subscriptions are billed on a yearly basis and automatically renew at the end of each subscription term unless canceled through your account settings prior to the renewal date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time; however, no refunds or prorated credits will be issued for any unused portion of the subscription period once payment has been processed.
5. RIGHT TO REFUSE, RESTRICT, OR TERMINATE SERVICE
Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, Inc. (“ACEI”) reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the GPA Calculator, GPA reports, or related services for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms and Conditions
- Misuse, abuse, or unauthorized sharing of access
- Conflicts of interest
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or inappropriate activity
If access is denied after payment, ACEI may, at its discretion, issue a refund for unused services; however, refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
6. NO CHARGEBACKS / PAYMENT DISPUTES
By purchasing or using ACEI’s GPA Calculator or services, you agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute through your credit card issuer, PayPal, or any other payment processor.
Chargebacks or disputes submitted for services already rendered, accessed, or delivered may result in:
- Immediate suspension or termination of access
- Permanent account restriction
- Submission of supporting documentation to the payment processor
- Additional administrative or recovery fees where permitted by law
ACEI complies fully with PayPal and Stripe dispute resolution procedures and maintains transaction logs, access records, and service delivery documentation.
7. UNAUTHORIZED USE
Access to ACEI’s GPA Calculator, reports, and Premium features is granted solely to the individual or entity that completed the purchase.
Unauthorized use, sharing of login credentials, resale, reproduction, scraping, or distribution of GPA reports or calculator outputs is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access without refund and potential legal action.
8. DISCLAIMER OF ACCURACY & INTENDED USE
The GPA Calculator and generated reports are provided for informational and advisory purposes only. While ACEI applies professional methodologies and industry standards, GPA results:
- Do not constitute an official academic evaluation
- Are not guaranteed to be accepted by third parties
- Should not be relied upon as a final admissions or credential determination
Final decisions regarding admissions, licensure, employment, or credential recognition rest solely with the receiving institution or authority.
9. THIRD-PARTY RELIANCE
ACEI is not responsible for how third parties—including universities, licensing boards, employers, or government agencies—interpret or use GPA calculations or reports generated through its platform.
No warranties, express or implied, are made regarding third-party acceptance or outcomes.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ACEI’s total liability arising from or related to use of the GPA Calculator, GPA reports, or associated services shall be strictly limited to the fees paid for the applicable service.
ACEI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of business, lost opportunities, delays, or financial losses, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions, and any disputes arising from or related to the GPA Calculator, GPA reports, or related services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, Los Angeles, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
