You must review the following instructions before completing any of the application forms listed on this page.

Please note that we require a completed application, documents, and corresponding fees in order to assign credentials for review and advise accordingly, as we do not provide any preliminary reviews or evaluations. All costs are determined by the service requests selected on the application.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CREDENTIAL EVALUATION

Online Application Form and Documentation for Initial Review

• For each credential to be evaluated, upload high-quality clear color PDF scans of all official transcript(s) and corresponding degree(s)/certificate(s)/ diploma(s) to the online application for initial review.

Evaluation Fee

• The evaluation fee is based on the report type, level of education being evaluated, and any other services selected on the application.  
• In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, all fees are non-refundable once an application has been submitted.

Academic Documents

• Transcripts/Statements of Exam Results/Certificate, Diploma, or Degree, if awarded.
  In summary, we require pdf scans of complete official transcripts (all pages, front and back) as well as any certificates, diplomas, or degrees earned if a program was completed and graduated from, issued in the native language along with certified, official English translations unless the institution/country of study routinely issues documents in English.

  If your country is not listed, you only need to follow the requirements outlined under the Required Documents tab.
• If there is more than one degree/diploma/certificate to be submitted, all post-secondary studies are evaluated in the chronological order completed. ACEI does not evaluate credentials out of context. Academic documents of undergraduate (1st degree) studies must be provided with payment for each credential earned for evaluation with any post graduate/Master’s and graduate/doctoral degree studies that are to be evaluated (Refer to fees). If there are multiple post-secondary/university level credentials, provide documentation supporting all. For example, if a PhD was earned, academic credentials supporting all previous university level education (such as bachelor and master) are required.

Official English Translations – Only if academic documents are not issued in English.

• ACEI is an educational credential evaluation company and does not provide language translation services. If the academic documents are not issued in English by the institution, please provide official English translations together with the official documents issued in the native language.
• If assistance with translations is needed, please contact Language Clarity Translations directly for a translation quote or submit an official translation prepared by a licensed translator as outlined on our website. Please note that Language Clarity Translations is not a subsidiary of ACEI, and the referral is provided as a courtesy.

Requirement for Direct or Verified Documentation

• Credential evaluations intended for RUSH service or any state licensing board, California or Virginia Board of Accountancy, Southern New Hampshire University, Washington Adventist University, state/federal government employment, or immigration, require official academic documents to be sent directly to ACEI. A request must be presented by the applicant to the issuing institution to electronically submit official academic documents to ACEI directly at: [email protected].
• The applicant may submit clear color PDF scans of official academic documents for initial review with the submitted application and payment, however ACEI must receive the official academic documents from the issuing institution.
• If the institution is unable or unwilling to send official academic documents electronically, and the applicant has already verified their Country Requirements on our website, please use Qualification Check for verification of original academic documents or one of the document retrieval companies listed under “Electronic Documents” on our website for assistance. Please note that document verification firms are separate from ACEI and a referral is provided as a courtesy. We do not set their price structures, nor are we in control of their procedures or timeframes.

Processing Time

• In all cases, an evaluation is completed once ALL requirements and requested documentation are received. Rush options for 1 (one) or 3 (three) business days are available on the application. For standard processing times, an evaluation is completed within 5 (five) business days for a Basic Report or 7 (seven) business days for a Comprehensive Report.

Refugee Status Applicants

Once we receive the required documents, completed application form, and fees, we will be able to evaluate the credentials and recommend the U.S. academic equivalence.
