Required Documents for Credential Evaluation

Delivery of Documents to ACEI

To ensure timely and accurate processing of your credential evaluation, please follow one of the options below for submitting your official academic documents:

 

Option 1:
Have your official transcripts sent directly to ACEI by your institution, along with proof of graduation and degree or diploma award (if applicable), via one of the approved electronic document delivery platforms available for your country of study. (See list of applicable platforms https://acei-global.org/electronic-documents/

 

Option 2:
Have your credentials verified by Qualification Check https://acei-global.org/verification/and sent directly to ACEI at [email protected]

 

If you experience difficulties obtaining official documents directly from your institution or completing verification, please contact ACEI before submitting your application for further guidance and assistance.

ACEI will contact the applicant or their designated agent if additional information, documentation, or fees are required. Please be sure to check our Country Specific Requirements under the Required Documents tab for any additional requirements, if your country is listed.

Transcripts / Academic Records

Submit complete, official academic records from each school or examination body attended. These must include:

 

  • Subjects/courses taken for each term or year
  • Hours of instruction (lecture, lab, credits, or units)
  • Final examination results, grades, or marks
    Records must be issued directly by the institution or examination board.

Certificates / Diplomas / Degrees / Licenses

If you completed a program of study or training, submit official proof of graduation or completion, such as:

 

  • Certificate of Graduation or Matriculation Certificate
  • External Examination Certificate
  • Diploma or Degree
  • Professional License
    ⚠️ Important: ACEI cannot evaluate Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees, or Licenses without the corresponding academic transcripts or examination results. Applications with incomplete documents are non-refundable. [See Terms & Conditions]

Translations (if documents are not in English)

Notes:

  • Provide a complete set of official, line-by-line, word-for-word English translations in the same format as the original.
  • U.S. translations must be prepared by ATA-licensed translators.
  • Translations prepared outside the U.S. must show the translator’s name, license/registration number, and licensing source.
  • Translations alone are not accepted; the original-language documents must also be submitted.
  • Credential evaluation and translation are separate services with separate fees.

Please contact them directly for details.  NOTE: Language Clarity Translations is not a subsidiary of ACEI, and a referral is provided to you as a courtesy only.  ACEI does not determine their pricing, control their procedures, or influence their processing timeframes. Multiple Credentials / Degrees

  • If you are requesting evaluation of a postgraduate, Master’s, or Doctoral degree, you must also submit official academic documents for your undergraduate (first degree) studies.
  • Each credential requires payment of the evaluation fee (see Fees).
  • ACEI evaluates all post-secondary studies in the chronological order they were completed; we do not evaluate credentials in isolation.
  • Example: If you earned a Ph.D., you must provide academic documents for your Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees as well.

Doctorate (Ph.D.) Degree

Applications for doctoral (Ph.D.) evaluations must include:

  • The title and abstract (summary) of your dissertation or thesis.
  • Official academic documents (transcripts and degrees) for all prior post-secondary education (e.g., Bachelor’s and Master’s).

Syllabus / Course Descriptions / Diploma Supplement

  • If you are requesting evaluation of a postgraduate, Master’s, or Doctoral degree, you must also submit official academic documents for your undergraduate (first degree) studies.
  • Each credential requires payment of the evaluation fee (see Fees).
  • ACEI evaluates all post-secondary studies in the chronological order they were completed; we do not evaluate credentials in isolation.

Proof of Name Change

  • If your name differs from the one shown on your academic documents, submit legal proof of the name change (e.g., marriage certificate, naturalization certificate, or other official record).

Missing Documents

  • If ACEI determines that required documents are missing, you will be notified by email with instructions.
  • It is the applicant’s responsibility to request and provide all required documentation.

Verification

  • ACEI reserves the right to verify your academic records directly with the issuing institution(s).
  • You may also be asked to contact your institution(s) directly to arrange verification.

Important Notes

Rush Service & Country Requirements

  • Before selecting Rush Service, check the Country Requirements section to confirm if your country has specific document requirements.
  • If your country is not listed, ACEI requires your official transcripts and certificates/diplomas/degrees to be sent directly from your institution or issuing body to ACEI.
  • Request your institution/issuing body to send your official documents to: [email protected].
  • Alternatively, you may use Qualification Check or one of the approved companies listed under Electronic Documents to verify and send your documents.

Submission of Official Documents

  • All official documents or third-party verifications must be sent directly to ACEI at [email protected].
  • You must have an active application on file.
  • Documents that cannot be matched to an active application will not be retained by ACEI.

Do Not Send Originals by Mail

  • Do not mail original documents unless specifically requested and authorized by ACEI.
  • ACEI is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or storage of original documents sent to or from our offices.

Uploading Documents

When completing your online application, upload high-quality, color PDF scans of the following (both sides, if applicable):

 

    • Certificates, diplomas, or degrees
    • Transcripts/mark sheets (courses and grades)
    • Certified English translations (if documents are not in English)
    • Proof of name change (if applicable)
