ACEI will contact the applicant or their designated agent if additional information, documentation, or fees are required. Please be sure to check our Country Specific Requirements under the Required Documents tab for any additional requirements, if your country is listed.
TRANSCRIPTS
Complete official sets of student’s permanent academic record (transcripts/report cards/examination statements/marks sheets) showing subjects or courses studied per each academic term/year with hours of instruction [lecture/laboratory/credits/units] and final examination results/grades/marks issued by the institution(s) or examination board/body.
CERTIFICATE / DIPLOMA / DEGREE/PROFESSIONAL LICENSE
Official proof of graduation (if a program of study/training has been completed) in the form of a Certificate of Graduation, Matriculation Certificate, External Examination Certificate, Diploma, Degree, or Professional License is to be submitted. NOTE: ACEI will not evaluate Certificates/Diplomas/ Degrees/Licenses without academic transcripts or examination certificates. TRANSLATIONS
Complete Official set of translations for all academic documents issued in a language other than English must be translated into English. Translations must be official or original, line-by-line, word-for-word and in the same format as the original-language documents prepared by a licensed translator.
Notes:
- U.S. TRANSLATIONS MUST BE DONE BY AMERICAN TRANSLATORS ASSOCIATION (ATA) LICENSED TRANSLATORS.
- TRANSLATIONS PREPARED OUTSIDE THE U.S. MUST INCLUDE THE TRANSLATOR’S NAME, LICENSE/REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND SOURCE THAT GRANTED THE LICENSE.
- CREDENTIAL EVALUATION AND TRANSLATION OF DOCUMENTS ARE TWO SEPARATE SERVICES AND FEES.
- EVALUATIONS ARE NOT BASED ON TRANSLATIONS ALONE.
- DO NOT SUBMIT ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS WITHOUT THE DOCUMENTS IN THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE.

MULTIPLE CREDENTIALS/ DEGREES
Academic documents of undergraduate (1st degree) studies must be provided with payment for each credential earned for evaluation with any post graduate/Master’s and graduate/doctoral degree studies that are to be evaluated (Refer to fees). All post-secondary studies are evaluated in the chronological order completed. ACEI does not evaluate credentials out of context. If you have multiple post-secondary/university level credentials, provide documentation supporting all. For example, if you have earned a PhD, academic credentials supporting all previous university level education (such as bachelor and master) are required.

DOCTORATE (PH.D.) DEGREE
Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree studies must be supported with an abstract (summary) of the doctoral dissertation title/thesis title as well as academic documents (transcripts and degree) supporting ALL previous education (e.g. undergraduate Bachelor’s and graduate Master’s).

SYLLABUS
Course descriptions/syllabi are not required but may be requested by ACEI if academic documents lack complete information on subject titles/content and/or instruction hours. Course syllabi become the property of ACEI and will not be returned.
NOTE: DO NOT SUBMIT SYLLABI UNLESS REQUESTED BY ACEI.

PROOF OF NAME CHANGE
In the event your name has changed (through marriage, citizenship, etc.); please provide a copy of legal proof of name change (e.g. copy of marriage certificate, naturalization certificate, or other legal documents).

MISSING DOCUMENTS
In the event ACEI determines that documents pertaining to the evaluation are missing and not provided with the application, ACEI will notify the applicant by email with instructions. Please note it is the applicant’s responsibility to request and provide all required documentation for evaluation.

VERIFICATION
ACEI reserves the right to verify studies and credentials with the institution(s) attended and/or advise the applicant to contact source institution(s) directly to obtain verification.
Important Notes
Before selecting RUSH Service, check Country Requirements to ensure you have submitted any specific requirements for your country of study. If your country of study is not listed, we will require your official transcript(s) with any certificate(s)/diploma(s)/degree(s) issued directly from your institution(s)/ issuing body directly to ACEI in order to process an evaluation. You will need to contact your institution(s)/issuing body and request they provide your official academic documents directly to ACEI at acei@acei-global.org. Alternatively, you also have the option to have your academic documents verified by Qualification Check or you may use one of the document retrieval companies listed under, “Electronic Documents”.
DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS BY MAIL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED BY ACEI. If ACEI has contacted you to mail in your original/official or other supporting credentials/documents to our mail center; mail pickup is limited to once a week. You may incur delays to the processing of your file. Once your mail has been collected it will be added to your file for review and processing. Mail fee is required for the return of any original documents, and you will be notified by email for payment. ACEI is not responsible for the retention/storage of any original documents.
Official documents or verification by your institution or third parties must be sent directly to ACEI at acei@acei-global.org. You must have an application on file. ACEI is not responsible for and does not retain, documents that cannot be matched to an active application. If you have any questions regarding official documents, refer to Country Requirements section on our website or contact ACEI at acei@acei-global.org.
When uploading documents on your online application, upload high quality color PDF scans of both sides of the official original certificate(s), diploma(s) or degree(s) with transcripts/mark sheets (courses and grades), certified English translations (if applicable), proof of name change (if applicable).
